Virtual Engineering Career Fair: Complete guide to event prep

    January 21, 2022

The annual Spring Job & Internship Fair is just under two weeks away – and it’s virtual again this year! We’ve created this guide to help you prep for and navigate the event.

First, complete these 5 key steps BEFORE the fair:

    1. Review and sign the annual Recruiting Policy Agreement. You’ll learn about important policies for participating in events with employers.
    2. Update your Handshake profile. This will allow you to register for 1:1 chats with employers. PLUS, employers will have an opportunity to search student profiles and reach out to YOU first.
    3. Register for the Career Fair before the event.
    4. Once registered, review the list of employers participating in the fair. Build a schedule in advance of the fair by signing up for 1:1 and group sessions of interest.
    5. Make a plan for how you want to spend the 10 minutes you’d have to chat with a company rep during scheduled 1:1 conversations.

Apply for Competitive Leadership Development and Rotational Programs

    October 04, 2021

Don’t know what your first job title will be? Not sure what the best role is for you? Rotational and leadership programs are competitive programs offered by multiple large companies that rotate new full-time hires through different roles in engineering, data science, business, or additional functions for 6 months or more to help you try out different roles and see what fits best for you. The main goal of these programs is to aid in early career growth and exploration. They are a great way to get hands on experience in various areas, work with people across functions, evaluate your strengths, and kickstart your career.
