Bicentennial Professors Fund

In March 2020, President Jim Ryan announced the University’s continued investment in the Bicentennial Professors Fund. As of April 1, 2020, an additional $50 million in matching funds will be allocated to increase the impact of your gift to support endowed professorships. Take advantage of this opportunity to magnify your generosity and shape the UVA Engineering community through this unique opportunity to support professors who will challenge, educate and inspire generations, perpetuating your legacy into the far-reaching future.

  • UVA Match

    When you contribute $2 million or more to create a named, endowed professorship and pay the total over five years or less, the University will increase your gift with a 50-cent match on every dollar.

  • Presidential Match

    When you contribute $6 million or more to create a named, endowed professorship and pay the total within five years, the University will provide $4 million in matching funds.
