Research Support
The center provides resources to promote innovative engineering-medicine research, including seed grants, workshops and grant proposal support.
Research Development
The center has developed a structured model for promoting engineering-medicine research and facilitate effective translation of research into clinical use. First, it connects engineering and medical researchers so they can collaborate and solve clinical problems using engineering principles. Next, the center provides seed grants to help support promising engineering-medicine collaborations. After seed grant research is completed, researchers often have the data needed to submit proposals for grants at outside agencies in order to continue their research. The center also provides extensive grant support for researchers who want secure additional funding at institutions like the National Institutes for Health (NIH).
