Give to ChE
Your contribution to the UVA Department of Chemical Engineering, no matter its size, enables the department to continue to produce strong engineers who will produce the next generation of innovative technology leaders.
Your contributions support our priority areas:
Chemical Engineering Enrichment Funds ($10,000 and above):
Support to Chemical Engineering Enrichment Funds will enable undergraduate summer research projects, upgraded experiential learning technologies, faculty and student leadership development programs, graduate student conference travel and student organization experiences like AIChE and ChemE Car.
Centennial Fund ($10,000 and above):
The Centennial Fund supports fellowships that go to chemical engineering graduate students conducting research in areas including biotechnology, nanotechnology, future energy sources, polymer membranes, catalysis, environmental engineering, electrochemistry, materials development, and separations technology.
General Department Support ($1 to $10,000):
Gifts of unrestricted support help build momentum for UVA Chemical Engineering and provide flexible resources for the Chair to meet the department’s needs. These gifts allow us to respond nimbly to transformative opportunities in research and education and support the overall operation of the Chemical Engineering department.
- Thornton Society ($2,500 and above):
- The Thornton Society is a community of UVA Engineering’s most loyal and generous supporters. Through unrestricted investments, Thornton Society members empower the Department of Chemical Engineering to tackle complex challenges facing our society.
- Thornton Society for Young Alumni ($1,000 and above):
- Young alumni serve and support our programs with unique perspectives based upon recent experiences within UVA Engineering. Young alumni who give at the Thornton Society level make an immediate impact on the Department of Chemical Engineering and help us achieve our vision as one of the most innovative, forward-thinking engineering schools in the nation.
