2018 Jenner Student Entrepreneurship Award

$2,500 Award

The Jenner Family Award will be granted to a rising third- or fourth-year Engineering School
student who has demonstrated aptitude for entrepreneurship. The award funds will be used to
support a student’s development of a new product or service. The award recipient will be

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

HOW TO APPLY:
Please submit the following in a single PDF to epp2f@virginia.edu
Compose a 3 to 5-page entrepreneurial project proposal describing:
• The Problem you’re trying to solve
• The Team: Names, years, and roles of you and your team members and advisors
• The Customer segment(s) who have the problem, describe them
• The Solution you envision to solve this problem, potential social impact
• The Value Proposition(s) the value your solution offers to the customer segment(s)
• Your progress and traction so far on the project (# customer interviews, survey data,
prototype status, etc.)
• Budget: describe how you intend to use of the funds
• Unofficial transcript(s): the student applying and team members if applicable
• Most importantly, a paragraph describing next steps
