Come get a crash course on all things IP from Michael Lew UVA '10. Mike received a B.A. in Computer Science, with high distinction, from the University of Virginia in 2010. His educational and technical background is broadly focused on computer technologies, including network communications and Internet technologies. Mike is also a 2013 graduate of George Mason University School of Law, obtaining a JD degree on the Patent Law track. He is currently a registered patent attorney at the law firm of Patterson & Sheridan, LLP, resident in the firm's Houston office. Mike’s practice primarily focuses on the domestic and international preparation and prosecution of patent applications relating to communications technologies, complex software, and information technology, and also includes preparation and prosecution of patent applications for oil and gas sensors and control systems and strategic counseling. In addition to his patent prosecution practice, Mike has assisted in the Firm’s litigation practice on computer science-related patent litigation.
