The annual Pike Engineering Entrepreneurship Fellows Program is a celebration of engineering success, bringing together established technology entrepreneurs with UVA Engineering students for two days of activities including a Student Technology Project Fair, a keynote address, and the Pike Technology Showcase where the student teams selected as Pike Fellows teams compete for the $50,000 Pike Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The following events are free and open to the public:
THURSDAY, APRIL 26

6 p.m. - Pike Engineering Entrepreneurship Fellows Program Kick Off, Rice Hall Room 130
- Welcome by Maite Brandt-Pearce, Executive Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Introduction by Eric Pike, Chairman and CEO, Pike Corporation
- Keynote address and Q&A with John Nisi, a 1998 graduate of the Systems and Information Engineering Department and Chief Technology Officer for Data and Artificial Intelligence at Microsoft
- Remarks by W. Bernard Carlson, chair of the Engineering & Society Department and director of Engineering Business Programs
- Announcement of Student Technology Project Fair winners
