Join UVA Engineering alumnus Greg Olsen, one of UVA's inaugural University Fellows, for the launch of a limited seminar series!
Olsen's talk, "Entrepreneurship to Spaceship," is the first in a series of talks he will host during the spring semester.
About Greg Olsen
Greg Olsen has established a long career as a research scientist and entrepreneur. Olsen founded two multimillion businesses, holds 12 patents, has written more than 100 technical papers, and has been a featured lecturer for many technical and trade journal gatherings. He was the third private citizen to travel aboard the International Space Station, where he orbited Earth more than 150 times in 10 days.
Olsen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics, a B.S. in electrical engineering, and a Master of Science degree in physics from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He also earned a Ph.D. in materials science from UVA in 1971. He founded and currently serves on the External Advisory Board of the UVA Department of Materials Science and Engineering and is an active member of the UVA Alumni Association.
