Join us for a workshop on writing abstracts for engineering research. The workshop will include structural and language information about abstracts, sample rubrics, and application activities. Participants will have an opportunity to work on their own abstracts at the workshop and can bring their work accordingly. 

You are encouraged to bring an abstract from your field &/or an abstract you are working on or need to write. Abstracts for research articles and conferences are welcome. You can also include examples and questions when registering through the online form.

 

About the presenters: 

Keira Mahoney is a Graduate Writing Lab consultant and a doctoral candidate in bio-analytical chemistry researching immunotherapeutic targets for cancers and viruses. She works with many students to clearly communicate their research to an audience through publications and presentations.

Maria C. Panepinto is a Graduate Writing Lab consultant and a Chemistry Ph.D. candidate in the Hunt Laboratory researching how to characterize the amino acid sequence of proteins and their post-translational modifications by mass spectrometry. Maria helps students clearly communicate their ideas.
