Juliet Simpson won the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship to study wind and energy storage.

The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) supports outstanding graduate students in research-based STEM disciplines for 3 years of funding, in addition to research opportunities and professional development. Juliet's research involves using energy storage for wind energy integration into the electrical grid. Specifically, her research proposal was for a hybrid iCAES-battery energy storage system for use with wind energy. She hopes her research under the NSF GRFP will improve storage potential for large-scale wind energy generation.
