    HPLP Alum announces kickstarter project

    August 19, 2020

Dave Garrett, our first HPLP PhD student has announced his project HEYKUBE on kickstarter today. This project is launched in partnership with Mehdi Hatamian and this is what Dave had to say about his cool new project.

"HEYKUBE is the first stand alone smart cube that is a fully programmable STEM platform. There's a lot of technology in this cube, but first and foremost it's a new spin on an iconic toy.  If you ever wanted to learn to solve the cube, now you can.  HEYKUBE is really smart and it remembers your moves and will guide to you a solution, and shows you the pattern to solve.  It's for those of us that never solved it, and for those about to try. If you know how to solve it, and like to code, then use the HEYKUBE library to write your own solving solutions, music, lights and games for the cube.  We are also working with Amazon to build the HEYKUBE Voice, which has Alexa sending you the daily challenge or turning the hints on or off among other cool things.   HEYKUBE has 3 patents and is trademarked."
