Thinking about taking a semester abroad? A helpful place to start is considering what type of program you want to participate in. A UVA program, such as UVA in Valencia, is developed and directed by UVA. An exchange program is where you enroll at a partner university alongside local students but pay regular tuition and fees to UVA. Lastly, an outside program is provided by other universities or private companies and is paid separately.

You can explore the different options available by checking out the programs organized by continent and country on the Exchange Programs and Outside Programs pages. Use these programs as a starting point, but remember, you are not limited by these options. To find more programs, visit the Education Abroad Programs Search. You can also get a sense of which institutions engineering students have studied at in the past by visiting the Academics page.
