April 11, 2020 - NASA has selected the University of Virginia School of Engineering to develop and demonstrate a laser technology that will power exploration on the dark side of the Moon.
Ahmed Rasin, one of the postdocs of Gupta group recently secured a job at Intel in Beaverton, Oregon. He is going to be working on chip packaging and applying lasers to chip dicing and mounting.
Mool C. Gupta, Langley Distinguished Professor in electrical and computer engineering, has engaged in this research for more than 35 years, the last 16 at UVA where he serves as founding director of the National Science Foundation Industry-University Cooperative Research Center for Lasers and Plasmas.
