Civil engineering women were out in force to support the Society of Women Engineers (SVE) High School visitation day on Nov 18th.
Undergraduate students Julia Davatzes and Anna Cerf, graduate students Katie Nunnelley and Kassie Grimes, and faculty Lisa Peterson, Lindsay Ivey Burden and Teresa Culver helped to introduce 130 high school girls to engineering and UVa. Julia and Anna helped organize and host the event, while graduate students and faculty provided tours of our environmental engineering laboratories and participated in panels on engineering majors and careers.
