An exciting update to the BME M.E. Degree Programbmefirstname.lastname@example.org
Starting this fall, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia will be offering our BME Master of Engineering students an enriched and expanded educational experience that will now incorporate direct collaborations with the School of Architecture, the Data Science Institute, and the Schools of Nursing and Medicine. These new educational opportunities build directly on our established university-wide cross-platform initiatives. We have invited Dr. Jonathan Rosen to join our faculty as Professor of the Practice to design and implement these curricular developments and to direct our Professional Studies programs.
Postition Yourself for Leadership
The University of Virginia’s 15-month Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering has been carefully conceived to provide the precise set of skills and hands-on experiences you’ll need to build a successful private-sector career in biomedical product and process development. This includes immersion in the day-to-day clinical activities of a major regional medical center, intensive training in the biomedical data sciences and a deep dive into the kind of design thinking that has revolutionized product development.
You will experience all these opportunities in the context of instruction and mentorship from faculty at one of the most translational biomedical engineering departments in the nation. If you are a biomedical engineer who has just finished your undergraduate degree or who has been in the field for a few years and want to apply your skills to developing products and processes in the private sector, this is the program for you.
