Parker Berthelson

Parker is a Mechanical Engineer working with the Center for Applied Biomechanics at the University of Virginia. Prior to this, Parker worked at Mississippi State University’s Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS) while earning his BS (Biological Engineering) and MS (Biomedical Engineering). Throughout this time, he has contributed to a variety of computational and experimental studies, primarily focusing on traumatic injuries to the central nervous system. His Master’s thesis proposed a finite element-driven mathematical surrogate modeling approach to assess broad occupant head and neck injury risk trends for vehicular impacts.
