UVA Engineering researchers are not merely reacting to the cyber age, we are catalyzing it. We have created initiatives like our interdisciplinary Link Lab specifically to spur innovation and accelerate the translation of breakthroughs in theory into real-world application.

AI for Agriculture

Researchers at the UVA Biocomplexity Institute are founding partners of a national research institute that will develop artificial intelligence-driven solutions for some of agriculture’s biggest problems. Computer science professor Madhav Marathe will head-up the UVA team as part of the $20 million research effort.
