2020 ROMAC Annual Meeting

The ROMAC Annual Meeting is an opportunity for ROMAC members, faculty, and student researchers to come together for presentations on current research projects and discuss and decide on the direction of future research. It is also an opportunity for collaboration and networking.


2020 ROMAC Annual Meeting

June 8 – 12, 2020

In consultation with the ROMAC Advisory Board, we have decided to hold the 2020 ROMAC Annual Meeting in an online format.  The Annual Meeting is still scheduled to take place June 8-12, 2020, and we are in the process of working out the details of how to do this.  The plan is to provide talks in a live format that will be recorded so they can be viewed at your convenience.  We are considering having time (perhaps the following week) for question and answer sessions, and we plan to capture questions and answers that can be viewed at your convenience.  And as usual the membership survey will be conducted online with the submission deadline being sometime during the second week. We will use the tools the University uses for online classes. Register to receive log in information for the on-line meeting.

We feel the quarantines and travel restrictions, both domestic and international, will not be lifted in time to hold the meeting in person. We had hoped we would not have to do this, but together we all must do our part to protect each other and help to rid the ongoing spread of the COVID-19 virus. The University of Virginia acted quickly to do their part to protect students, faculty, staff, and health care workers at the Medical Center, and in turn the community.

As we move forward with these plans, we will keep you informed via email and the ROMAC website.
