Summer 2021 allowed the UVA Clark Scholars Program to welcome our 4th Cohort. This summer program represented our return to grounds and the growth of our program to 18 Scholars.
The summer was filled with numerous activities, but also included a number of special engagements.
The School of Engineering, welcome Dean Jennifer West on July 1, 2022 and on her first day Dean West invited the Clark Scholars (Cohort 4 and RAs from previous cohorts) to dinner at her new home (Montebello).
We were also fortunate to have members of the A. James and Alice B. Clark Foundation visit the program in person. During this visit, we had a chance to enjoy lunch together and our Scholars had a chance to present their team projects from their Intro to Engineering (ENGR 1624) course.
