Class of 2024
Christopher Camacho
Class of 2024
Chris is from Virginia Beach and majoring in aerospace engineering because of his fascination with aircraft and spacecraft. Outside of school, he enjoys working out, playing tennis and playing video games. Chris’ favorite memory while studying abroad in Valencia, Spain with Clark Scholars was being able to visit his family.
Jordan Fuller
Class of 2024
Jordan is a Computer Engineering major from Long Beach, CA with a stop in Kansas during high school. She has a passion for fashion and styling and also enjoys all things computer, especially hardware. She also likes video games, specifically Sims4. At UVA, Jordan was on the Engineering Student Council and the Clark Scholars Leadership Council as a first year student.
Anna Harris
Class of 2024
Anna is from Canonsburg PA and studying chemical engineering. At UVA, she is active in Engineering Student Council, Society for Women Engineers and Cru fellowship. Anna has been a Clark summer RA and an undergraduate researcher investigating membranes for application of water desalination. She loved her experience studying abroad in Spain in spring 2022.
Skylar Haskiell
Class of 2024
Skylar is from Yorktown, VA studying Computer Science. Skylar enjoys running, biking and hiking outside. Skylar is marketing chair of the Engineering Student Council, member of the executive board for an engineering sorority, and active in the Society of Women Engineers. Skylar was also a summer RA for the Clark Scholars Program.
Georgia Helein
Class of 2024
Georgia is from Lynchburg, VA majoring in Biomedical Engineering. She is passionate biology and nature, and enjoys hiking and reading. Georgia works as a research assistant studying biomaterial and cellular systems, is a member of Women in STEM, the Biomedical Engineering Society at UVA and is study abroad chair for the Engineering Student Council.
Emmanuel Kenscoff
Class of 2024
Emmanuel is from Brooklyn, New York double majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He has been a summer RA for Clark Scholars, a TA for applied math, and a member of the Clark Leadership Council. He is also on the QuestBridge Executive Board and in the UVA debate society. Emmanuel is active in the National Society of Black Engineers as a way to help young African-Americans gain opportunities in engineering.
David Lin
Class of 2024
David is from Centerville, VA majoring in Computer Science. David has always enjoyed playing strategy games and been attracted to STEM as a major. He enjoys programming in his free time. As a Clark Scholar, he studied abroad in Valencia, Spain where the dark chocolate desserts made a lasting impression. Perhaps because of that, he has started to enjoy cooking back in the US.
Johnathon Nicolaus
Class of 2024
Johnathon is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He chose to study engineering so he can explore science and technology while working to create solutions that improve the lives of others around him. He loves soccer and the experiences he gained studying abroad and exploring in Valencia, Spain.
Devasish Pant
Class of 2024
Devasish is originally from Nepal but grew up in Manassas, VA. He is double majoring in Computer Science and Spanish, and believes the world can be improved by innovation and science. Devasish was on the Clark Scholars Leadership Council, Treasurer of the Hindu Student Council, and part of UVA's competitive fusion Bollywood dance team, Virginia Ke Aashiq.
Kousuke Tapia
Class of 2024
Kousuke was born in Bolivia and moved to Springfield, VA in high school. He is majoring in Computer Engineering and minoring in Economics. Kousuke loves assembling PCs and spends most of his free time learning about the latest developments in the industry. He is also an avid gamer. As a Clark Scholar, he studied abroad in Valencia, Spain where used his fluency in Spanish to volunteer at a food book.
Najarie Williams
Class of 2024
Najarie is a Mechanical Engineering major from Woodbridge, VA. She is passionate about teaching others that engineers can look like anyone, no matter their color or gender. Najarie shares this message as a member of the Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, and Society for Caribbean Awareness. She is a member of the highly selective DoD SMART Scholar program and interned this summer with the US Navy in Dahlgren, VA.
Esther Yi
Class of 2024
Esther is from Yorktown, VA majoring in Systems Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. She is on the Engineering Student Council and the student chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering. Esther was selected as a UVA Merriwether Lewis Fellow, a program to develop citizen leaders to improve UVA and the larger community. Esther studied abroad in Spain and enjoys tennis and cooking in her free time.
Jona Zvazenewako
Class of 2024
Jona is from Atlanta, Georgia and majoring in mechanical engineering. Growing up, Jona was passionate about the world of automobiles and motorsports especially. In his free time, Jona likes to watch sports, particularly racing. He looks forward to enhancing his engineering learning experience at UVA through the Clark Scholars Program.

Keith Williams
Associate Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering
Clark Scholars Faculty Director
Williams' completed my Ph.D. in materials physics at Penn State University in 2001, and undertook postdoctoral research in the Molecular Biophysics Group at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, thereafter establishing a nanophysics laboratory in the physics department at the University of Virginia.
Alicia Cowan-Brown
Clark Scholars Program Coordinator
Alicia joined the Clark Scholars Program in 2022 as the Program Coordinator. Her responsibilities include program implementation, scholar engagement, and collaborating with various partners to improve the Engineering student experience.
