Summer Orientation for First-Year and Transfer Students
During UVA's summer orientation, new students explore curricular and co-curricular opportunities, build connections with peers and upper-class students, learn about resources at UVA and participate in academic advising and course enrollment.

Wahoo Welcome
Wahoo Welcome is a University-wide program held during the first weeks of the fall semester. Wahoo Welcome prepares students for life at UVA, acclimating them to Grounds, helping them find connections with peers and find their place at the University.

UVA Family Weekend
The University’s Family Weekend 2022 will take place from Oct. 28-30. UVA Engineering will hold a festival-style event for engineering families on the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 28. Other events will take place throughout the weekend, including a home football game against Miami on Saturday, Oct. 29.

Student Services
Students in the School of Engineering have access to an expansive student support team, including an embedded UVA assistant dean of students, counselors from UVA's Counseling and Psychological Services team, and a counselor from UVA's Student Disability Access Center.

The Office of Undergraduate Programs provides information, assistance and guidance to undergraduate engineering students as well as to prospective students and parents interested in applying to the School of Engineering undergraduate program. Applications are made through the University of Virginia.
The Office of Graduate Programs facilitates all aspects of graduate education at UVA Engineering, including recruitment, admissions and programming for graduate students.
