The Mool C. Gupta Group

Research is carried out in the area of high power laser applications for solar cell manufacturing, infrared detectors, thermal solar, thermophotovoltaics, quantum dots based solar concentrators, laser microtexturing of surfaces, etc.

An NSF supported Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for an application of lasers in manufacturing was established in 2002. Current funding is from the NSF, NASA, DOE, and Industry.
