Laurie Pinkert's research and teaching focus on technical communication, responsible innovation and writing pedagogy, including National Science Foundation-supported research on communication and disciplinary values. She has also helped colleges and universities nationwide develop writing initiatives through her work with the Association for Writing Across the Curriculum.
