Our Goal
The goal is to bring together members of the UVA/SEAS community with shared interests in GPU computing—particularly at the intersection of GPUs with AI, HPC, systems/cybersecurity, and sustainability. Our group is also a sub-hub under the UVA Research Hub program (Applied Mathematics, Science, and Engineering).

Organizing Faculty Committee
Adwait Jog
His research spans the broad domain of computer architecture and systems, with a particular focus on designing efficient and resilient GPU- and accelerator-rich platforms.
Prasanna Balachandran
My interests are in materials informatics, density functional theory, machine learning, bayesian inference, and optimal design methods applied to accelerate the search and discovery of novel 2D materials, metallic alloys, ferroic and electronic materials.
Zezhou Cheng
Keivan Esfarjani is theoretical and computational materials scientist. He has pioneered a method to compute phonon lifetimes and thermal conductivity of solids from density functional calculation of force constants. He has held appointments at the Institute for Materials Research of the Tohoku University, UC Santa Cruz and MIT, among others.
Nikhil Shukla
Nikhil Shukla is an Associate Professor at the University of Virginia with a joint appointment in the ECE and the Materials Science and Engineering department.
Xinyao Yi
