Our events

We host a series of social and networking including academic and professional seminars throughout the year!

Summer

• We arrange the GESC election for the new academic year! Congratulations to the new committee members!
• GESC hosts the Summer Picnic in May at the Darden Courtyard!

Spring

• GESC hosted the Annual University of Virginia Engineering Research Symposium (UVERS).

Fall

• We arranged a Coffee Break with the International Graduate Students in November at the Darden Courtyard!

Recurring Events

• International Food Friday: Last Friday of every month. Open to all graduate students! Showcasing a variety of international cuisines, accompanied by brief descriptions of the food's origins and cultural significance. 
• Therapy dogs at Student Health and Wellness! 
• Walking group meeting outside Rice Hall Fridays at 3PM. Come join for a 20-30 minute walk around grounds!
