The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) promotes a collaborative and inclusive community to advance human health through education, discovery, and translation. The student chapter here at UVA is dedicated to building community, developing students professionally, and offering mentorship opportunities. We have a dedicated team of leaders who work very closely with faculty and staff in the biomedical engineering department to fulfill these goals. All are welcome to join BMES, and any student majoring in biomedical engineering, minoring in biomedical engineering, or with an interest in science, medicine, or engineering is highly encouraged to do so!
