UVA Concrete Canoe

Concrete Canoe Team

Each year, the UVA Concrete Canoe Team designs and builds a canoe made of concrete and races it against other schools. We compete in the annual American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Virginias Symposium each spring. Our members apply civil engineering, construction techniques, aerospace principles, graphic design, technical writing, business expertise, and more. We encourage students with a wide range of interests to join our team. Team members are able to earn class credit, learn valuable skills, and build relationships with peers and professionals in engineering.

How to Join

Our application cycle are at the start of each semester. We emphasize that experience is not required when joining the team.
