Summer Transfer Program
The Summer Transfer Program is a free, weeklong summer program which builds community among incoming transfer engineering undergraduates and connects them the many opportunities and resources available within UVA Engineering and across the university.
The Summer Transfer Program (July 19-24) equips incoming students who transferred with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in their engineering studies.
During the course of the program, participants will enroll in a 0.5 credit academic success course which:
- Foster human connections, community and a team approach to academic success and wellness
- Accelerate career development and readiness
- Clarify academic requirements for graduation and fall enrollment
- Enhance learning and organizational strategies
Based on feedback directly from engineering transfers, we aim to:
- Build a supportive network of peers, faculty, and staff
- Provide clear advising with direct connections to transfer knowledgeable advisors
