"It is an honor to join the Science, Technology and Society teaching team. The ability to connect with our country’s future leaders inside and outside of the classroom is a privilege. Rob is from Philadelphia but has been a part of the UVA community since 1980 where he was introduced to Charlottesville as an undergraduate track and field athlete and  mechanical engineering student.  Rob completed his graduate studies in 1994 at the Darden Graduate School of Business.  His professional career includes manufacturing  and marketing for multinational organizations AT&T and IBM; as well as creating several start-up entrepreneurial endeavors.  In addition to teaching, Rob enjoys commercial real estate management and is part of the Center for Developing Entrepreneurs (CODE) building development team.  The CODE building project is positioned to be the most innovative commercial project in Charlottesville.  Rob and his wife Sandy have 4 children and love spending time with family and friends.
