GAIT DYNAMICS AND HUMAN MOTOR CONTROL
Russell's research interests lie in the increased understanding of the mechanisms of human movement. This includes the development of new methods for analyzing movements measured in clinical settings along with the development of predictive models which simulate the body’s interactions with the environment and offer insight to the control strategies implemented by the human system.
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Assistant professor Shawn Russell combines biomechanics and orthopaedics--the outcome is life-changing for patients AND students.
