About
Sun joined UVA as an associate professor in 2021. Prior to her position at UVA, Sun was an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan Technological University. Her research is an interdisciplinary route that integrates engineering innovation with human health and human behaviors. Her primary research focus is on wearable sensors, devices and robotics. She is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award.
