Principal Investigator

The Wearable Electronics and Robotics Laboratory (WEARLab) at the University of Virginia focuses on advancing next-generation wearable technologies for rehabilitation, human augmentation, and health monitoring. Our research integrates wearable electronics, soft robotics, and human-centered design to develop impactful solutions for real-world challenges.

WEARLab is led by Dr. Sarah Sun, a pioneer in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of mechanical engineering, electronics, and biomedical systems.

Associate Professor

Sun joined UVA as an associate professor in 2021. Prior to her position at UVA, Sun was an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan Technological University.
