Graduate Student Orientation Schedule

Virginia Engineering Online Programs

Virginia Engineering Online (VEO) students will have a virtual orientation on Monday, August 19 at 12 pm ET. Check your email for a Zoom link.

On-Grounds Programs

Join us on Thursday, August 22, for an official welcome and in-person orientation, where we will share essential resources and transition information.

Sessions for PhD and MS students will start at 8:30 am. Sessions for ME, MCS, and MMSE students will start at 10:15 am. Programing for all students will end with a Resource fair from 1:45 pm to 3:00 pm.

Please be prepared to stay for the whole day. We will send location and session specific times based on your degree program via email.

The sessions will include panel discussions with faculty members, current students, career services, and student support staff (see below). There will be time for questions from our new students at the end of each panel. It will also be an excellent opportunity to connect with your peers.

Resource fair - Thornton Hall Courtyard - Connect new and current graduate students with school and university clubs, identity groups, and resources for graduate students.
