Abstract: Come learn the ins and outs of preparing for your PhD milestones from current students who have completed them. The PhD milestones include being a TA, the qualifying exam, the proposal, and the dissertation defense. The panel will feature students Wade Fritzeen, Jacob Nelson, Sophia Bakar and will be moderated by Aashutosh Aryal. Each panelist will focus on a different milestone, with Wade discussing his TA and proposal experience, Jacob on the preparation for his defense, and Sophia about the qualifying exam. Please come prepared with any questions you may have about their experience and the PhD milestones. We look forward to seeing everyone!
