Level up your world and join the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) for our 1st Annual Movie Night! We'll be screening Cities of the Future, a film showcasing cutting-edge innovations shaping the future of our cities and infrastructure.

Stay after the film for a panel discussion with our engineering experts, including several distinguished CEE faculty members as well as our ASCE Student Chapter President. The panel members will share insights and answer your questions about the future of civil engineering:

  • Devin Harris, Professor and Chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, expert on Structural Engineering/Digital Twins
  • Somayeh Asadi, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, expert on Construction/Smart Infrastructure
  • Jon Goodall, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of UVA Engineering Link Lab, expert on Hydrology/Smart Cities
  • Maggie Collins, Fourth Year Student and ASCE Chapter President 

You are also invited to join us for a pre-movie "Netflix and Build" social starting at 5:00 pm in Davis Commons (outside Rice 130) before the movie starts at 5:30 pm in Rice 130. 

Snacks and drinks will be provided.
