The UVA Research Showcase provides a face-to-face venue for undergraduate students interested in research to connect with faculty and explore what research is being performed across Grounds.

The UVA Research Showcase is a place for faculty to provide an opportunity for exploration, incite curiosity, and potentially recruit undergraduates to get involved in research and creative inquiry.

What to Expect

The event will take place in the Newcomb Ballroom and Main Lounge. The Ballroom will be set up as a fair with tables and tableau boards for faculty to exhibit their work. The Main Lounge will be a space for “fireside chats” where faculty will share their research and answer questions with a small, gathered group of students over 20-30 minutes. Undergraduate attendees will be encouraged to take advantage of both spaces.

How to Participate

Students do not need to register for this event and are encouraged to attend when they have time between classes and other commitments. Additional guidance for students can be found on the “Information for Students” page. Faculty can learn more about the registration process by visiting the “Information for Faculty” page.
