About the Speaker
UVA Engineering alumnus John B. Koch has spent over 35 years as a senior executive and service industry leader. At PODS Enterprises, LLC, from which he retired as President and CEO in 2021, John oversaw PODS' transformation by developing a culture that drove three critical areas for success: employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and enterprise valuation creation. Prior to that experience, John served in leadership roles at ADT, Alltel, and others. He currently works in private equity as a Partner at Grove Mountain Partners and is an Operating Advisor for Clayton Dubillier & Rice. John graduated from the University of Virginia with both a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering. John serves as a Trustee for the University of Virginia Engineering Foundation and previously served on the Advisory Board to the Systems Engineering department.
