Patricia Gonzalez-Guerrero, in joint work with Xinfei Guo and Mircea Stan, won the best paper award at IEEE LASCAS 2019:https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/abstract/document/8667599 LASCAS is the premier regional conference of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society in South America.http://lascas2019.unal.edu.co/ Patricia was also awarded a grant to attend the iREDEFINE workshop at the ECE department head association meeting this month. Double congratulations Patricia! Patricia received her M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville VA USA, and her Bachelors in electronic engineering from the Pontifical Xavierian University at Bogota, Colombia. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Virginia. Her research focuses on ultra-low-power computing. Her work spans mixed-signal and subthreshold-digital integrated circuit design. Ultra-low power signal processing architectures, and application-oriented system design.
