The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia is inviting applicants for multiple tenure-track or tenured faculty appointments at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Biomedical Engineering. As one of the most established and influential programs in the country, the Biomedical Engineering Department at UVA is housed both in the School of Engineering and Applied Science and the School of Medicine. Candidates will join this exciting environment, build and sustain impactful research programs in any area of Biomedical Engineering, engage in teaching and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students, and perform service to the institution and to the profession. Candidates should be committed to promoting diversity, engaging in collaborations, and helping all of society through biomedical engineering research and/or design. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a related field of engineering or science by the time of appointment, a record of excellence in scientific research, and a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
