PurPics, a startup founded by one of the teams that participated in the 2018-2019Pike Engineering Entrepreneurship Fellows Program, has announced a significant investment in the company. UVAToday reportedthat the $750,000 investment is led by Felton Group LLC, the family office of UVA McIntire School of Commerce alumnus Jaffray Woodriff. In January, Woodriffmade the largest private gift in UVA's historyto establish a new School of Data Science. PurPicsfounder Aneesh Dhawan, Victor Layne and Raahish Kalaria participated in the Pike Program during the spring 2019 semester. The Pike Program is administered by theDepartment of Engineering and Society.
