The University of Virginia’s School of Engineering and Applied Science is seeking exceptional early career scholars for UVA Engineering Rising Scholars, a postdoc-to-faculty program.
Designed for researchers who want to help build a diverse and inclusive intellectual community, the program supports participants in a suitable postdoctoral position at another institution for up to two years before beginning a tenure-track position at the University of Virginia.
Selected candidates will enhance the diversity and excellence of UVA Engineering through their research, educational efforts and service.
During their postdoc period, Rising Scholar participants engage in multidimensional professional development to prepare for a seamless transition as a member of UVA’s faculty, where they can immediately become productive, high-level contributors to our research community.
