On July 1, Jennifer L. West takes the helm as theUniversity of Virginia School of Engineering's 14th deanwith a vision for building on the School's success and creating new opportunities. She arrived in Charlottesville this week from Durham, N.C., where she was associate dean for Ph.D. education and a professor of biomedical engineering and mechanical engineering and materials science at Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering.
