3D Measurement Instruments

The CAB uses three Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), all of them manufactured by Romer, that are capable of sub-millimeter 3D measurement of points on test subjects and test fixtures. One of the Romer CMMs also possesses laser scanning capabilities. A FARO Focus 3D laser scanner, as well as two handheld 3D scanners (Eva and Spider by Artec 3D) are used to record surface topology.
