Explore Life at UVA Engineering

  • Alderman Road Residence halls

All University first-year students, including engineering students, are required to live in on-Grounds housing. Incoming first-year students are invited each May to "shop" the University's housing options, then apply for their preferred location. Transfer students and upperclass undergraduate students also may apply to live in on-Grounds housing.

  • Student seated at a dining hall

UVA's dining services are designed to offer students convenience, flexibility and lots of options for where and when to eat. First-year students are required to purchase specific plans to cover their dining needs so they can focus on getting acclimated to life as a University student.
