Jefferson Engineering Lectureship

The Jefferson Engineering Lectureship is made possible by a grant from the Jefferson Trust. The goals of the lectureship are to honor Thomas Jefferson’s legacy in engineering innovation, strengthen UVA’s commitment to interdisciplinary innovation, expose students and faculty to pioneering research ideas that transcend traditional boundaries by inviting experts in cutting-edge fields like data science, healthcare, and environmental sciences and enhance UVA Engineering’s reputation, attract top talent, and boost its standing in national rankings
