ECE Research in Machine Learning, Signal and Image Processing, and Communications
We excel in the design of THz devices and circuits, microelectromechanical components, super-conducting materials, and beyond-CMOS electronics.
Our research advances understanding of non-Boolean computing, biomolecular sensing, long-range sensing (radio telescopes), wireless communications, and large-scale data storage.
Our faculty are selected to present their research at the community's preeminent research gatherings. For example, faculty working in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining and graph mining published 25 papers in their field's most selective conferences convened this year — with acceptance rates well under 25% — demonstrating the agility and vitality of ECE's mathematical and statistical modeling and optimization research.
