ECE Research in Machine Learning, Signal and Image Processing, and Communications

We specialize in the theoretical foundations of signal processing, communications and machine learning, as well as a wide range of applications including biomedical image analysis, intelligent and secure networks, social computing and emerging data storage technologies.

Our faculty are selected to present their research at the community's preeminent research gatherings. For example, faculty working in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining and graph mining published 25 papers in their field's most selective conferences convened this year — with acceptance rates well under 25% — demonstrating the agility and vitality of ECE's mathematical and statistical modeling and optimization research.
