Stephanie Guerlain, Research Associate Professor

I worked at the MITRE Corporation, Apple Computer and Honeywell prior to joining the faculty in 1999. I primarily work in the Medical, Military, and Process Control fields, teaching, designing, and evaluating software and products, incorporating data visualization and cognitive systems engineering methodologies. I've been active in the Human Factors & Ergonomics Society, IEEE Systems, Man & Cybernetics Society, and the National Patient Safety Foundation. I've also enjoyed leading a US-Brazil Exchange program. I teach Human-Computer Interaction and Cognitive Systems Engineering at the undergraduate and graduate level, as well as teach workshops and short courses to companies. My students and I have won several best paper awards at conferences and for published journal articles and book chapters.
