Request a GTA Exception
Graduate Coordinators may request to appoint a student as a Graduate Teaching Assistant who does not meet the full qualifications by completing a GTA exception form on the student's behalf. Graduate students may not make such exception requests on their own.
GTA exceptions are based on the requirements of Provost Policy PROV-001: Graduate Assistantships. Only in rare and exceptional circumstances will a student be granted more than one exception within the same semester to be appointed as a GTA.
