Daniel Herrera

Research Associate

Daniel Herrera received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico in 2013 and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2019.  He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Virginia.  His research interests include single photon detection and emission for quantum key distribution, optical injection-locked lasers, and photovoltaics.

Dongxia Wei

Research Associate

Dongxia received her B.S. in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China in June 2014. She obtained her Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from the University of Delaware in December 2019. Her research interests cover avalanche photodetector, infrared metamaterials, and Monte Carlo simulations for quantum transport.
