Collab does not allow for an easy drag and drop solution, it requires a WebDAV (Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning) connection.

The recommended ITS software is Cyberduck (https://cyberduck.io/?) it is both Windows and MAC OS compatible.  Windows installation, on a UVA managed device, requires an elevated (Administrator) account for installation.

Installation of Cyberduck is straight forward - all default responses are acceptable.

The best option is to Zip the files within Collab that are to be downloaded.

Login to Collab https://collab.its.virginia.edu/
Select the Collab Site and Select Resources (Left column)
This will display all the files available.  Select the files to be downloaded. Selecting the Top Square next to TITLE will select all files
Select the ACTIONS button at the top level folder, Select COMPRESS TO ZIP ARCHIVE - IT IS NOT INSTANTANEOUS
Connect a Collab site to Cyberduck (requires either an owner or administrator login to the collab site) and gather the WebDAV url and associated WebDAV password.
This information is located under Resources or File Drop option (File Drop is files sent to or received from participants: If needed and you do not see a FILE DROP option - follow the steps below).
Select the TRANSFER MULTIPLE FILES tab - copy the needed information - see RED boxes below.  Each Site has a unique URL and Password  The password expires after 7 days
Launch Cyberduck or your preferred file transfer application - Directions below are provided froma Windows perspective using CyberDuck

Select OPEN CONNECTION - Change connection type to WebDAV (HTTPS)

Enter the information from above to the Server and Password location in the connection form.

Enter your Computer ID in the Username field Saved Password - Select Connect

Cyberduck will then display the list of files/folders within the selected tool (Resources/File Drop)

Select the Zip file and choose Action/DOWNLOAD TO

A window will open with a BROWSE FOR FOLDER.  Select the desired location - Select OK

If moving the files to a MS Teams location you must have a short cut within OneDrive to select the TEAM
